Privacy Policy

Hadal Instruments is currently in pre-launch. A comprehensive privacy policy compliant with UK GDPR will be published before any commercial instruments become available. The principles below govern our intent.

1. Who controls your data

The controller of the personal data this notice describes is HADAL INSTRUMENTS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17382774, whose registered office is Suite 53C, Unimix House, Abbey Road, London, NW10 7TR, United Kingdom. Hadal Instruments is a trading name of that company. Before it was incorporated on 5 August 2026 the same data was held by its founder personally; the waitlist record itself — an email address, the moment it arrived, and the page it came from — has not changed, and neither have your rights over it. Data-protection requests reach the controller at privacy@hadalinstruments.com.

2. Data We Collect

During pre-launch, the only personal data we collect is what you type into the waitlist form: an email address, which is required, and — only if you choose to give them — a name and a one-line answer to the question of what you would want measured. Both of those are optional, the form says so beside each field, and leaving them blank has no effect on joining. The record stored beside them is the moment it arrived and which page on this site it was submitted from — no IP address, no user agent, no cookie and no identifier that follows you anywhere. We do not use tracking cookies or fingerprinting on this site, and the analytics that does run — Google Analytics — is configured to store nothing on your device and to attach no identifier to you. The cookie policy enumerates every piece of browser storage this site touches, including any cookie the network layer may set that we neither read nor control — a short list is only credible if it is complete.

One more record exists, at the network edge, and it is described here for the same reason. The software that serves this site keeps a log of each request, for one purpose: to see which automated crawlers — search engines, AI answer engines — read which pages, and with what result. For a person's visit that log holds the page requested, the moment, the response and the referring site, and nothing that identifies you or your browser: no IP address, no user agent, no cookie. Software that declares itself a crawler is recorded with that declaration and its network address, so the claim can be checked — a machine's address is not your data. The log is read by the measurement platform that audits this site and by nobody else, and it feeds no advertising, no profiling and no scoring of anyone.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your email address is used for two things and no others: to notify you when Hadal instruments become available, and occasionally to ask what you would find worth measuring, so that what we publish is shaped by the people waiting for it rather than guessed at. Every such message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing from one unsubscribes you from both — we do not operate a list you can only partly leave. A name, where you gave one, is used to address you in those messages and for nothing else. An answer about what you want measured is used to decide what to research; it is never published, quoted or attributed.

We will never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties. This is a pre-launch notification list and nothing else is attached to it: no advertising, no profiling, no scoring, and no transfer to anyone for their own purposes.

Analytics. Every page on this site loads Google Analytics, which sends Google a pageview: the page address, the referring page, and the coarse device and country information Google derives from your IP address. Google act as Hadal's processor for that, and the data reaches Google LLC in the United States. Consent Mode is set to deny all four storage categories before the tag starts, so nothing is written to or read from your device and no identifier is attached — which is why you are not asked to consent to it, and why the pageviews cannot be joined into a session or into a person. This paragraph is deliberately not conditional on anything: it describes what happened on the page you are reading, as you loaded it.

4. Trading Data

When instruments launch: marketplace instruments run entirely on your own platform — your trading data never leaves your machine. Hub subscriptions that process data server-side will operate under strict data handling agreements detailed in the full privacy policy.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data at any time. You may unsubscribe from the waitlist via the link in any email we send. Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data.

6. Contact

Data-protection requests — access, rectification or erasure of anything this site holds about you — go to privacy@hadalinstruments.com. This address replaced an interim personal one on 2026-08-02, and the right it serves did not change when the address did. No Data Protection Officer has been designated yet — that decision arrives with the full policy, before commercial launch, and is not listed as a placeholder in the meantime. The full channel list is on the contact page.
